## Power Your Dash Cam the Way It Should Be Wired
Most dash cam owners end up with a cable draped across the dashboard and plugged into the cigarette lighter. It looks messy, it blocks a cup holder, and it leaves a wire hanging in your field of view.
The common fix is a mirror-tap adapter — but that only works if your car has an auto-dimming rearview mirror, which usually means a higher trim level. If you drive a base or mid-level Nissan, you have been out of options.
This adapter solves both problems. It takes power from your overhead dome light — a connector every trim level has — and feeds your dash cam through a hidden, fuse-protected harness.
### Why the Dome Light?
Your dome light circuit is live and constant, and the connector is already there behind the lens. That means:
• No auto-dimming mirror required
• No cutting or splicing factory wiring
• No bulky 12V plug taking up your only socket
• Nothing visible from outside the car
### What Makes This Different
**Built-in fuse.** A fuse sits in the adapter itself. If something goes wrong on the camera side, the fuse protects your car’s circuit — not the other way around.
**Genuine plug-and-play.** The factory dome light connector unplugs, this adapter plugs in between, and the original light keeps working exactly as before.
**No effect on your dome light.** Your reading lights and overhead lights continue to function normally. This adapter simply taps the same circuit.
**Short 5 cm lead.** The adapter hides completely inside the headliner, so nothing is left dangling.
**Installation guide included.** A printed card carries a QR code — scan it and follow our step-by-step installation guide with photos. A pry tool is included so you can remove the dome light lens without scratching your trim.

### Frequently Asked Questions
**Q: Will this work if my car does not have an auto-dimming mirror?**
Yes — that is exactly what this adapter is designed for. It takes power from the dome light, not the mirror, so it works on base and mid-level trims as well.
**Q: Will it affect my dome light or reading lights?**
No. The factory connector is simply re-routed through the adapter. Your overhead lights keep working normally.
**Q: Do I need to cut or splice any wires?**
No. There is no cutting, splicing, or soldering. It is a direct plug-in between the factory connector and your dome light.
**Q: Is a USB cable included?**
No. A USB data cable is not included — please use the cable that came with your dash cam, or add one to your order.
**Q: How do I know which connector type I need?**
Check the fitment table above. If your model is not listed, or you are unsure, send us a photo of your dome light connector through our Contact Us page and we will confirm it before you order.
**Q: Is there any protection for my car’s electrical system?**
Yes. The adapter has a built-in fuse that protects your vehicle’s circuit and your camera.
